Modern Cotton Boll Quilt Pattern by Emma Jane Powel - MCB - EJP

The earliest known cotton boll quilts are from the south circa 1850.  Many variations have been made throughout the years, both pieced and/or appliqued.  My Modern Cotton Boll pattern is inspired by these earlier versions and includes both the applique and pieced versions of the cotton boll block.
