Quilt Donations for Hurricane Helene victims

We are a collection point for quilt donations for Hurricane Helene victims in western North Carolina, in partnership with Lo and Behold Stitchery

10/14/24 UPDATE:

We drove a U-Haul full of quilts to Black Mountain on 10/15! See photos below.

Lo and Behold has asked that we stop accepting donations as of 10/18/24 so that they will have time to assess the number of quilts they have to distribute and the need still remaining in their area.

Quilt Donations

Local friends: please bring any NEW or UNUSED quilts (any sizes) to Cary Quilting Company.  We will ship them to Lo and Behold Stitchery, and they will then get them into the hands of those needing them.

If you can, please place quilts in large plastic bags and note the size on each bag.

You may also choose to ship quilts directly to Black Mountain: Brittany Lloyd, Lo & Behold Stitchery, 102 Black Mountain Ave., Black Mountain, NC 28711.

They have asked that you ship using the quickest method available to you.

Learn more from the Lo and Behold Stitchery blog post here.

Monetary Donations

10/14/24 UPDATE: We have plenty of monetary donations for now. Thank you for your generosity!

If you would like to contribute to our shipping costs for sending quilts to Black Mountain, you may donate cash at the shop or you may purchase any quantity of our Quilt Drive Shipping product.

100% of these donations will go towards our actual shipping fees. If we collect more than needed for shipping, we will donate any extra funds to the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
